How would it be to have a portrait where you just got to focus on each other? And all of your attention was on, you know, their features at this age. And basically, I'm just trying to find something that she might be like, yeah, that I do actually like that. She keeps telling me like, No, I don't care like, okay. Yeah, I get it - that sounds like a viable option. But I am just curious...why would you want to do that? You've got all the free time in the world, so you want to spend your time dealing with labs and getting things printed? Why do you want to print them yourself?
(ALLOW FOR RESPONSE) - Well, it's cheaper.
Well, of COURSE it is. But you know, buying a steak at Walmart for $ 7.99 is cheaper than going out to a fabulous steak house for your anniversary, right? but which experience are you going to enjoy more?
Because it's a special occasion, right? You don't spend 50 bucks on a steak, you know, on a TUESDAY, just BECAUSE, right? An $8 steak from Walmart is FINE on a Tuesday.
But people come to us because it's a SPECIAL OCCASION, or because they need, or want something that is better or different, or more than what they've had, you know, doing it themselves or however they have done it before.
It's like, you can walk to work - it's definitley cheaper, but wouldn't you rather drive? How much more would you enjoy that?
So why would I want to spend 50 bucks at a steakhouse? Well, because it's your 40th anniversary. And you want to show your husband, man, he's EVERYTHING to you and he LOVES steak. Right?
So the same is true with portraits. Like why do we do something like this - it IS because it matters. So if it doesn't really matter, then you know, your phone is fine to take selfies and it's FREE.
I get it...you could take a selfie or find a photographer to take a few snaps and print them yourself. It’s completely understandable that you would want and expect that - it’s what the average, typical photographer does.
Then you go to Costco and get a canvas printed but the thing is that they use artificial whiteners in their canvases that yellow over time. That's why it's so cheap, right? It's meant to be consumed and then it fades.
But for us, the way we see family portraits, you know, it's held as a treasure in a family and then handed down - that will NEVER happen with a canvas from Costco, because they don't last long enough to be handed down. And so if you're fine spending money and just having it sort of like, you know, dissolve into dust, I mean, who am I to say different but we create pieces that LAST and they cost more - it just DOES.
So no, we are not the Wal-mart of photography...so you can find that, if that is what you want.
But what is less common, so much so as to be COMPLETELY UNEXPECTED, is to receive expert home decor services with the selections of: which portrait is perfect for wall display, which room is best to highlight the jewel of the home that it truly is, and which size best communicates the degree of importance this portrait holds.
We understand that not everyone needs or wants this level of care for their family heirloom portraits. Plenty of people are happy to have family photos stored on hard drives instead of living on their favorite walls for all to see.
If the later is true for you, it’s no problem, but our services would not be an ideal fit.
If however you are ready to have a portrait of significance and do justice to both the creation and display of it, then you've come to the right place.

The thing is that most DON'T print them - THEY THINK THEY WILL but they are busy, and they end up in a drawer somewhere - because they don't know what to do with them, don't have time, so it's ends up being a waste of money stuck in a drawer and then one day you computer doesn't even COME with a CD reader and you no longer have access to them.
But let's say you are one of the ones that DO PRINT THEM.
I can appreciate that - THAT IS AWESOME that you want printed products. But here's the thing, you know, as a consumer, you only have access to consumer labs. The best analogy that I can use for that is like have you ever been to McDonalds and gotten a receipt and then looked at it 3 years later - what happens to the paper and the ink?

Brown, the ink disappears. They don't care about the quality of the receipt - they don't guarentee how long that receipt will last - they got your money, you got your receipt. It's like a consumer lab.
As a Portrait Artist, we only use archival quality materials and that's the difference in like a letter that was handwritten 100 years ago - have you ever seen those? Paper is THICK - ink is still legible - things were made to last. How long the portraits last is a better value for our clients so that's why we make sure everything is museum quality.
So why should that matter to you when it comes to your portraits?

Because often when people ask about digitals I find that they are value conscious - they want the best bang for their buck - they think they can just print it themselves have the same thing and they are golden. But that is a fallacy.
It's like going to the Dollar Store and expecting the same quality as a garment from Nordstroms or one that is handmade couture.
We're happy to include them, you know, with things that had been purchased because that give our clients archival prints AND a corresponding digital.
So what we'll do is at the Ordering Sessoin, I'll present the best of the best, ready for you to choose. Using my professional software, we'll compare side by side and in groups to find exactly the ones you love most.
People who come to us KNOW that family is everything - and they want to make sure that their FAMILY knows that. And we move heaven and earth to help them have this.

I just like to ask, because sometimes, you know, people have like, kind of a set budget that they, they want to respect other people feel like, you know, they really want to see it first, and then decide and really get a sense of what this is going to do for them before they make that decision. So, like I said, I'm just trying to know, like, kind of what what road is best to go down.

Well, so let me ask you, XXXX, do you want me to only make suggestions that are in line with sort of like the lower end of the budget? Or do you want to just kind of see what's possible, and then decide? Is that the most important factor in your decision? Because if it is, I mean, we didn't even have to show you like, you know, some of the more glorious sizes. We offer six wall finishes, from traditional to modern - and you will see samples of EVERYTHING after your Portrait Session.
Our goal will be to create Artwork that SHOWS your family who their TRIBE is and shows YOU what you love MOST about your FAMILY.
Because we have found that children today are COMPARING and JUDGING themselves as not GOOD enough, or not SOMETHING enough - and that judgy little voice can stay with you for a LIFETIME -

Our artwork starts at $500 and goes up from there - we offer different finishes and sizes so there are a variety of price points.
But there is no minimum or required purchase or any obligation to purchase anything else.
Our ENTRY level wall art starts at $1,500 - and I would say most people spend at least that - but some spend more.
The largest portrait we CAN possibly create is the size of a couch and not right for most people and is $20,000 - I know that sounds crazy - but you could do anything you want.
We have anything and everything - so what people spend really ranges - $2,000, $4,000, $6,000, $8,000 so it can be as little or as much as you would like - it really ranges.
No one knows what they’ll end up loving, until they see the portraits and discover what the ideal is for them.
I mean, how COULD you decide on anything ahead of time anyway, right? You'll know what's perfect for you when you can see it with your own eyes.
Our fine art products ARE custom, so we create a custom design plan for each client using this really slick software so you can get an idea of what's possible for your home even before you are photographed. Mindy will explain more about HOW that's done.
Now, we do group together products to offer more value, so the more you purchase, the les you spend on individual portraits. We also have two very generous payment plans that help with any kind of breathing room you might need - because we know that NOBODY really BUDGETS for this.

At your PORTRAIT SESSION, you'll spend about 45 MINUTES with our MASTER PORTRAIT ARTIST who specializes in CREATING (PICK ONE) family/COUPLES/children's portraits.
What we have found is that clients most often DO purchase WALL ART, so we take EVERYONE through the same process. We offer six wall finishes, from traditional to modern and you will see samples of EVERYTHING after your portrait session.
FAMILY SESSION
Our goal will be to create Artwork that SHOWS your family who their TRIBE is and shows YOU what you love MOST about your FAMILY.
We have found that children today are COMPARING and JUDGING themselves as not GOOD enough, or not SOMETHING enough, and that judgy little voice can stay with you for a LIFETIME.
So we create a your child's portrait so they will REALIZE how special they REALLY are; will feel SEEN and mirroring BACK to them that they ARE loved... looking CONFIDENT...BEAUTIFUL.
COUPLES SESSION
Our goal will be to create Artwork that SHOWS everyone the unique bond you share as a couple.

After the Portrait Session, on a different day you'll have your ORDERING SESSION, where you and your partner will ORDER what you love the MOST. With your own eyes you will see what is most MEANINGFUL, feels perfect with the right amount of presence - not too big, not too small, just right - and we will guide you with designs so your WALL ART spotlights your love and connection.
Now, the REFUNDABLE holding fee - did you get a chance to read about that?

You have a GIFT CERTIFICATE that covers that session fee, so you don't have to pay that.

Our clients LOVE their portraits, and you're probably going to LOVE yours too. We hope you do!
You can choose prints, a single artwork piece or a collection of portraits, an album or portrait box - whatever helps your family feel everything you want to feel. So we're going to show you different sizes, and you will have the flexibility to create the artwork you want.
I want to give you an idea of pricing for our studio, because *I* would want to know.
Our artwork starts at $500 and goes up from there - we offer different finishes and sizes so there are a variety of price points.
But there is no minimum or required purchase or any obligation to purchase anything else.
Our ENTRY level wall art starts at $1,500 - and I would say most people spend at least that - but some spend more.
The largest portrait we CAN possibly create is the size of a couch and not right for most people and is $20,000 - I know that sounds crazy - but I say that to you let you know you can do anything you want.
We have anything and everything - so what people spend really ranges - $2,000, $4,000, $6,000, $8,000 so it can be as little or as much as you would like - it really ranges.
No one knows what they’ll end up loving, until they see the portraits and discover what the ideal is for them.
I mean, how COULD you decide on anything ahead of time anyway, right? You'll know what's perfect for you when you can see it with your own eyes.
Our fine art products ARE custom, so we create a custom design plan for each client using this really slick software so you can get an idea of what's possible for your home even BEFORE YOU ARE PHOTOGRAPHED. Mindy will explain more about HOW that's done.
Now, we do group together products to offer more value, and we have two very generous payment plans that help with any kind of breathing room you might need - because we know that NOBODY really BUDGETS for this.
So even though our prices are NOT INEXPENSIVE, we WANT you to be able to have what YOU want in a comfortable way so you can spread PAYMENTS out on our LAYAWAY PLAN.
We DO have PREpayment bonus options as well, so you CAN earn some freebies just for paying in advance.
We have some specials that will be ONLY be available during your ordering session and most people do take advantage of those because they want WALL ART but that's completely up to you.

Let me just go over the highlights.
Our portraits begin at $500 for a mounted, heirloom quality fine art print. While it is lovely, it is only a taste of what you can do, and only the beginning of what is possible.
- there is no required or minimum purchase, just so you know.
Our wall art is custom and museum quality - really legacy artwork rated to last over 150 years, so it will last long enough for your grandchildren to enjoy it.
Entry level wall art starts at around $1500.
Some families spend that -- some spend 3,000-4.000 -- some spend 7,000-8,000. The largest portrait we can create and the highest collections go up to $20,000, so if you want the moon, I want you to know we CAN do that.
As I said, there is no required or minimum purchase. What you choose to spend is completely up to you.
But what we'll do, when we get to that point in the process is I'm gonna have you guys take pictures of your walls, and we have this really awesome software that allows you to upload your wall snapshots straight to me sized to scale.
What I don't want to happen is that you invest all this time, energy and money, and then we get a portrait that's too big or too small for your wall.

ARTIST PROJECT - IF THEY PERSIST:
So to tell you what our ARTIST PROJECT is all about, we're offering the gift of a $500 session and for those that want wall art, $1000 to use toward the Wall portrait of your choice.
Most people do use that spending credit towards a collection of their favorites or larger sizes, and as I said, those start at $500 and go all the way up to $20,000.
Now the $20,000 piece is as big as your couch, so that's not right for most people, but that's as big as we can go. This is just so you know it can be as little or as much as you would like. No one knows what they will end up loving, so you'll be able to make that choice after you see the final products and discover what the ideal is for you.
If you'd like to go with the entry level heirloom fine art print, that's fine too. You will have a $350 spending credit that can be used toward that.
Most people that have come through our Artist Project have taken advantage of the $1000 Wall Art credit because they want art of their family dispalyed on the walls of their home. So you can use that towards one portrait or a collection of their favorites and larger pieces, because you'll for sure love more than just one, and most people like it to be larger than the starting size.
You don't have to make any decisions until after the session when you see your final portraits. I mean, how could you decide anything ahead of time anyway, right? You need to see them!
We also offer generous payment plans that help with any kind of financial breathing room you might need for anything else you'd like to have.
But it's totally up to you, you'll know what's perfect for you when you can see it with your own eyes.
I understand. You know, we understand that the wall art we create may not be the choice for everyone. We do have options to fit any budget and that is discussed in more detail later.
You HAVE a gift certificate so we DO have other options, packages that are less focused on wall art. That is something that Mindy will discuss with you on the planning call.
