As a family and studio photographer in the Northern Virginia area, near Ashburn, VA, Ever After specializes in family photography and creating beautiful portraits which you’ll treasure for years to come.
The Pettit Family, a family of four from Maryland, consists of two beautiful, small children with cherub faces, and their loving parents. Mom Christina wanted a studio photographer near their home and well known for their fine art photography. Christina hoped a photographer could capture “this moment in time” during her children’s fifth and sixth years of their lives. She hopes to one day look back on these years and recall them with fond memories of their family!
While Christina also enjoys photography, she was very excited about having fine art photography done of her beautiful family, for portraits to display in their living and children’s play room. When we chatted with her, Christina told us she loves candid photos that aren’t posed and prefers black and white, feeling that black and white make you concentrate more on what’s going on in the images emotionally.
In general, her favorite family portraits are all “spur of the moment” shots, but Christina also wanted that special family portrait. As a professional studio photographer with years of experience, we’re more than happy to deliver because we believe that truly great fine art photography is as natural as possible!
Their family loves to do a lot of outdoor excursions, although as young children, they’re still catching on to the idea of hikes! An outdoor portrait was a natural choice as a backdrop tor their sweet family portrait. We were able to capture her active children (Noah loves swimming, and Madeline’s passion is dance) in a loving-family group portrait.
It was truly a pleasure as studio photographers to work with the Pettit Family. We love getting to know our clients as friends and we appreciate being let into their lives to capture these special never-to-be-repeated moments!
