This project helps children build confidence to LOVE who they are as a person as well as who they are to their siblings. After all, the memories we make today cannot be made tomorrow.
Creating portraits of sisters or brothers is a gift in time. Will they understand RIGHT NOW why their brother or sister bond deserves to be celebrated?
Maybe not.
But one day they will look back on the unique and intimate connection shared between blood bonds as one of the most cherished relationships of their life!
They say that children grow up too quickly, and it’s true. As a parent, you watch your children together and want to soak up every second of them at this stage.
Because before you know it, time whizzes by and they’ve changed again! One day you’re holding them in your arms, and the next they’re off to college or starting families of their own.
A portrait of your children helps you AND THEM someday savor the moments that slip away so quickly. It’s a testament to the fleeting nature of childhood, and a reminder to cherish every precious moment while you can.

We’ve found that the younger ones tend to mimic each other in their actions, whereas the older siblings are noticeably different in their demeanor. We create portraits of siblings both together and individually to allow their unique personalities to take center stage, focusing on the right now so it can be savored later.

Products are purchased separately. We want you to feel safe during our collaborative experience, so no decisions, commitment, or product payment is required from you until your Ordering Session. And, because we want you to purchase what you love, if you don’t love what we create, you are not required to purchase a thing and your holding fee will be refunded!
Should you fall head over heels (which we’re pretty sure you will) with any of your portraits, we’ll help guide you through the options ensuring the best fit for you and your family. At that time, you can apply your $100 spending credit toward any product purchase.
Our fine art products suit a range of tastes, lifestyles and budgets from traditional to modern. You can choose from mounted prints, print bundles, wall art, albums, and portrait boxes.
Matching digitals are available with all purchased wall art pieces, albums and portrait boxes and are perfectly suited for social media sharing.
We believe professional portraits deserve to be displayed in your home. Most do prefer wall art in a significant size. The larger the art piece is, the more powerful the impact. And, everyone loves more than just one 🙂 If this is true for you as well, your $100 will become a $1000 spending credit and will be applied towards the largest Wall Art Portrait you choose.
As a guide, our artwork (museum quality prints, mounted and coated to last – these are NOT floppy paper prints) starts at $495 each, and are less expensive in bundles – the more you purchase, the less you pay.
Entry level Wall Art portraits start at $1,500, while most families typically spend $1,500 and more on their finished art pieces and digital negatives, getting exactly what they want.
Wall art pieces range from $1,500 to $20,000 for a museum quality piece as large as your couch. You are free to choose whichever option makes your heart sing.
Focusing on the true beauty of our clients, we create artwork that will be passed down through generations. We are Portrait Designers, so portraits are custom crafted for each family, with lovely options for every budget. Your choice of two payment plans are available for your convenience.

Where is the studio located?
Ever After Portraits creates portraits by appointment only at our residential studio which is ideally situated 25 miles from Washington, D.C. in the rolling hills of Northern Virginia.
Our fully equipped indoor and outdoor studio rests on 2.5 acres located at 📌 46506 Oak Lane, Sterling, Virginia, 20165.

Please note that the Studio is typically closed on Saturdays and Sundays and we will not reply to calls, texts or e-mails during that two-day time period. Thank you for your understanding.
Why are you offering these sessions?
Quite simply, we love families and have a special heart for helping families be as close as possible.
Offering these complimentary family portrait sessions is a meaningful way we can make beautiful art that we know your grandkids will cherish. With your participation, we can make sure that more people see the beautiful connection and love families share.
COVID has created great challenges for many families. As a way to give back to our community, we decided to give families the opportunity to create legacy artwork to be cherished for generations.
Are you looking for models?
No, we are looking for REAL families. Our clients are real people so we prefer to show real people in our wall displays, on our website, social media and in our portfolios.
Can I have my whole family photographed?
Although this is primarily an Artist Project celebrating the love that Siblings share with each other, chosen applicants who participate can include all members of their immediate family – we will be happy to photograph your whole immediate family at no extra cost – as long as we receive notice prior to your session.
How long will our portrait session last?
We block out 1 to 1.5 hours for your appointment. A standard session takes approximately 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the number of people in the family.
Why Do You Require A Refundable Holding Fee For A Complimentary Session?
Unfortunately in the past when we offered complimentary sessions without any holding fee, we experienced many late cancellations and no shows.
We now require a $200 refundable holding fee to book your time on the studio’s calendar which ensures that we have serious and committed clients coming in.
Because we set aside our studio for only one family at a time, we require a holding fee, which is paid for ANY type of session scheduled on our calendar.
This holding fee does not constitute any obligation to purchase: In the event you choose not to purchase, your holding fee is fully refunded as long as you keep your appointments or provide at least 14 days notice to reschedule so that we have enough time to fill your slot.
If you choose to purchase, your holding fee will be applied in full to any order you choose to place.

Once your session is booked, we’ll send you ideas on what to wear and what works best with our studio’s signature style.
How do I see and order my portraits?
This is an extremely special part of your portrait experience with Ever After Portraits, allowing you to experience and reflect on the beauty of your family using our fun and efficient selection process and unique software.
One to two weeks after your portrait session, you and your partner will experience your cinematic presentation and ordering session and have the opportunity to purchase artwork of your family!
This meeting is when you will view your beautiful portraits, place any orders and apply your Spending Credit towards any order you’d like to make. (No order required.)

This cinematic experience can sometimes be emotional, as we tell the story of your family. After, you will see more of the the beauty of your family in portraiture and choose the portraits you love. We will help guide you as you select your favorite portraits to enjoy on the walls of your home. After choosing wall art, clients often add on an album or portrait box.
All orders are placed at your ordering session, as online galleries and printed proofs to take home are not available.
The Ordering Session and Cinematic Presentation is often described as one of our clients’ favorite and most memorable parts of the Ever After Experience.
An important note: If you are married or partnered, both you and your spouse or partner will not want to miss this Zoom, which currently takes place by appointment on Tuesdays.
Why is this? In most relationships, both members tend to like having at least some input (either financial or aesthetic) in the selection process. It’s also emotional, and happy tears can and do often happen. (Keep tissues handy, just in case!)
Too many times, we have heard extreme regret when a partner has not been able to attend. Second Zoom appointments are expensive and can be challenging to accommodate as we are a boutique studio that is booked to a limited capacity so that we may serve our clients at the highest levels of attention and detail.

a mother-daughter team, and kindred spirits. In our world, nothing means more to us than family and family legacy. This is one of the reasons Joriana’s name includes part of my name as well as both her grandmothers’ names.
