HOW ARE LIMITED EDITION SESSIONS DIFFERENT FROM REGULAR SESSIONS?
Limited Edition Sessions are shorter in length than a Regular Family Portrait Session. They are also typically based on a theme. Each Limited Edition Session is customized with special props, sets and backgrounds. For some Limited Edition Sessions, special costumes are also available. Limited Edition Sessions have specific dates upon which the Portrait and Ordering Sessions are held.
WHO CAN SIGN UP FOR YOUR LIMITED EDITION SESSIONS?
Typically, Limited Edition Sessions are exclusive to children, photographing them on a unique themed set. Occasionally, we have Limited Edition Sessions for specific groupings, such as mother/child, or father/child.
WHAT ARE THE AGE REQUIREMENTS FOR A SESSION?
We have high-end, professionally-designed costumes (if the particular session calls for one) which fit girls ages 3 through 9. Some Limited Editions Sessions are open to children of all ages, such as our mother/child or father/child sessions.
HOW OFTEN DO YOU OFFER LIMITED EDITION SESSIONS?
We offer Limited Edition Sessions throughout the year. However, most themed sessions are only offered once in a year. If you subscribe to our e-newsletter or follow Ever After Portraits or mindybelcher on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, you’ll be in-the-know for all of our upcoming sessions!
DO I HAVE TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT? CAN'T I JUST WALK IN?
Appointments are required. We do not accept walk-ins.
DO I HAVE TO PAY IN ADVANCE TO SECURE MY SESSION SLOT?
The session fee must be paid up front to secure your session. If you “no show,” you will have to pay another session fee to reschedule.
HOW LONG DOES A PORTRAIT SESSION TAKE?
Each session is no more than 30 minutes, with one outfit. You will have at least 20 images to choose from. . If you have multiple children being photographed together, they can share the same 30-minute session time for an additional $50 fee. If you want individual images of each child, we require back-to-back sessions, one session for each child, but we will overlap the time a little so we can photograph them together as well.
HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN ATTEND THE SESSION?
We ask that no more than two adults attend the session.
WHEN SHOULD I PLAN TO ARRIVE?
For sessions which involve costumes or clothing changes, please plan to arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled time to allow for clothing/costume changes, checking hair, etc. For sessions which do not involve costumes or clothing changes, please plan to arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled time to allow for checking hair, etc.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM LATE?
All sessions begin at the scheduled time. We respect the next client’s time, so we are are unable to accommodate late arrivals. If you arrive late, your session will have to be rescheduled.
CAN MY CHILD BE PHOTOGRAPHED IN MORE THAN ONE OUTFIT DURING THE SAME SESSION?
The session time allows for your choice of one costume/outfit. If you’d like your child to be photographed in more than one costume/outfit, we invite you to purchase an additional session slot.
DOES MY DAUGHTER GET TO PICK HER COSTUME?
Absolutely! You can bring a costume from home or use one of the ones we provide in the studio.
MY SON WOULD LIKE TO BE PART OF A FANTASY SHOOT. DO YOU HAVE ANY COSTUMES FOR BOYS?
At this time, we do not carry costumes for boys.
CAN I BOOK TWO SESSION SLOTS IN A ROW?
Yes, you can. We would actually recommend booking two different Limited Edition sessions, back-to-back, if you have twins or multiple children.
CAN I HAVE MORE THAN ONE CHILD IN A PORTRAIT?
Of course! Additional children are $50 each and will share the 30-minute time slot.
HOW MANY POSES WILL I GET TO CHOOSE FROM?
Typically, you will have no less than 20 poses to choose from when it comes to prints and products.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY CHILD DOES NOT COOPERATE?
Unfortunately, there are NO retakes if your child does not cooperate, so do make sure they have had a nap and are well fed before the session time arrives. If you feel that it's possible that your child may not cooperate, please come prepared with a “clean” snack, especially for those who might appreciate a little positive reinforcement (aka bribery)! Look for snacks that don’t melt, aren’t sticky and won’t leave messy crumbs.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER IS POOR?
In case of inclement weather, we will contact you and reschedule your session(s).
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY CHILD IS SICK THE DAY OF THE SESSION?
If you or your child is not feeling well (even the slightest bit under the weather), please reschedule. We want to keep the studio as germ free as possible. We will allow you to choose a session from a different Limited Edition date.
WHAT IS YOUR RESCHEDULING POLICY?
LIMITED EDITION RESCHEDULING POLICY:
As long as we get notice that you need to reschedule, we will allow you to swap your session for a session on a different Limited Edition date -- with the understanding that it will be a different theme on that date.
DURING THE SESSION, CAN I TAKE PHOTOS WITH MY IPHONE TO SHARE WITH MY FRIENDS?
Please do not. Multiple cameras mean your child does not know where to look! So no cameras, including cell phone cameras, are allowed in the studio.
CAN YOU GIVE ME SOME TIPS THAT WILL HELP ME BE PREPARED FOR THE SESSION?
* For some of our themed sessions (such as our Fairytale Session) participants typically don’t wear shoes, so please make sure feet are squeaky clean. * If your little one chooses to wear nail and/or toe polish, be sure that it’s not chipped or peeling off the day of your session. * Check arms and hands for temporary tattoos! (You’d be surprised how many times this comes up.) They should come off easily with a little baby oil. * Style hair down in a natural style that lends itself to wearing our floral wreath crowns. * Avoid pony tails and or pig tails because they tend to look bumpy in most situations. * Pack a comb or brush for a quick touch-up once you arrive. * If your little one has dry skin, apply a little lotion to smooth it out. * Bring along chapstick or clear lip gloss to apply at the studio. Dry, chapped lips are not easy to fix post production, but a light application of chapstick or gloss before the session works wonders! * Blue dresses bring out blue eyes. * Olive skin tones look best in jewel tones. * Dark colors will overwhelm fair-haired lasses.
CAN I VIEW THE IMAGES ONLINE TO ORDER?
No. Your images are only available to view on our 72-inch screen, for the highest quality viewing. We don’t do online viewing.
HOW SOON WILL I BE ABLE TO ORDER PRODUCTS?
We edit all session images during the week following the Limited Edition Session, so that they are then available during the next week to order. Because these events are special and the themes and slots are so much in demand, we are sensitive to timing. Because of that, we set aside specific days during the week during which all Limited Edition Session orders must be placed.
WHEN CAN I PLACE MY ORDER?
Because our schedule is generally filled six weeks in advance, we have set aside specific dates for Limited Edition Session ordering, so that you can place your order in a timely fashion. If you are not able to order on the date(s) we have set aside for ordering sessions, you will most likely have to choose an Ordering Session date 6 to 8 weeks into the future to find an open date. The time set aside for the Ordering Session is the only time to place your order.
WHO SHOULD COME TO THE ORDERING SESSION?
All the decision makers! Your very own personal ordering session is included so that you may order the products. We will help you compare all of your favorite images.
WHEN IS PAYMENT FOR PRODUCTS DUE?
Payment is due the day of your Ordering Session appointment when your order is placed. A no-interest payment plan option is available. (See "Do you offer a payment plan?" below.)
HOW LONG WILL IT BE BEFORE I RECEIVE MY ORDER?
Once your order is placed, allow 2 weeks for your images to be retouched and sent to you for your approval. Once you approve your order and make final payment, allow 3 to 6 weeks for delivery.
WILL THE ORDER HAVE TO BE PAID IN FULL BEFORE IT IS DELIVERED?
Yes. Orders will not be delivered until the order is paid in full.
CAN I PICK UP MY ORDER?
Absolutely! Order pickups are scheduled each Friday by appointment only, or we can ship your order to your home.
DO YOU OFFER A PAYMENT PLAN?
We do! With 25% down, a no-interest layaway payment plan option is available. Your products will be sent to print when final payment is received. (Allow 3 – 6 weeks for delivery of products after final payment.)
PRICING AND PRODUCT QUESTIONS
HOW MUCH DOES THE SESSION COST?
Each 30-minute Limited Edition Session is $99 (plus sales tax). A $99 product credit is also included with your session fee. The $99 session fee secures your reservation for the scheduled themed session, and allows us to provide the highest quality costumes, props, and our undivided attention to make your child’s fantasy a reality! (Regular Family Portrait Sessions are $250, so that’s a savings of 60% from a Regular Session!)
WHAT KINDS OF PRODUCTS DO YOU OFFER?
Limited Edition Sessions have package pricing. Each package includes products. After a package is purchased, other products can be added on such as mounted prints, mounted wall portraits, wall art in a canvas finish, albums, portrait boxes, desk images, notecards . . . and the list goes on! You will be provided with a list of our packages for your session.
WHAT DO THE PRODUCTS COST?
Special products and package pricing will be available with the Limited Edition Sessions, including beautiful Wall Art that would be perfect for your child’s room, your room, or even for the grandparents! Sessions are $99 and include a $99 product credit. Package pricing starts at $448, and yes, your product credit can be applied to this package. In addition, any prints are not just a flimsy piece of paper; they are mounted and coated for durability and protection from fingerprints and the elements. Digital images to share and print are available for purchase. Contact the studio for detailed pricing. We take great pride in our products and it’s our pleasure to create beautifully and professionally printed artwork for you to enjoy for generations to come.
WHAT ARE THE MOST POPULAR PRODUCTS TO PURCHASE?
* For Limited Edition Sessions, Gallery Wraps are the Wall Art product we encourage. The image is printed directly onto high-quality canvas material with the finest ink to ensure that the image looks its best. The canvas is then stretched around a solid frame. Then a UV coating is applied to resist fading and enhance the longevity and rich appearance. Hanging is a breeze, and wall bumpers are included to protect surfaces from marks and scratches. These features allow you to have your gallery wraps on display in a matter of moments. * Our unique albums are an heirloom keepsake for decades to come. An album is perfect for preserving the story of your child's special session and will allow you to relive the moments time and again. While this album does have a minimum of 10 pages, more can be added.
