Ever After Portraits is Mindy and Joriana Belcher. We primarily do wedding photography, but just like most wedding photographer, who provide wedding photojournalist, I have my favorite type of sessions. For me, that’s wedding engagement sessions.
Primarily, we provide our wedding photography to venues located in Washington, DC so if you know anyone interested in sterling va portrait photography, send them our way. But we want to focus on couples in Virginia, those who really desire their wedding photographer to be a wedding photojournalist and live in VA. That’s how Ashley and Ryan found us — they viewed our images online and they liked our style right away. We are always looking for a good fit as we want to meet our client’s expectations for the type of wedding photos they want to keep.
The first thing we came to understand about Ashley and Ryan: They are seriously in love — they can’t look at each other, without it ending in a kiss! I think it’s because they have known each other for such a long time. These two were neighbors and friends from the time they were 14 — and it shows. We dare anyone to take a look at their session and not agree with us!

Photographing couples in VA for engagement and wedding photography never feels like work to me. And when we have the pleasure of using our outdoor portrait studio, it is truly “play” time. We are a mother and daughter, a modern wedding photographer team with photojournalist style. Our focus is on capturing relationships with an emphasis on style, fashion and photojournalism.
When our latest couple proved to be a good fit for our style of photography, we really looked forward to photographing their engagement session. Justin and Melissa are just the cutest pair — we had great fun getting to know them in our Outdoor Studio Engagement session with them.
Finally, the weather cooperated, so with blue skies and smiles all around, we set to work. But it wasn’t work — it was so much fun!! For most of our session, it felt like we weren’t even there, as we watched these two lovebirds being themselves and having fun together.
The blue in the sky wasn’t the first thing we noticed either — these two both have striking blue eyes. Check out their slideshow, and see if you agree with us.

As we strolled through the National Aquarium in Baltimore, MD, we learned that this (perfect) engagement session location holds a special place in their heart. This was the location where they celebrated the first anniversary of their first date.
For us, the ocean represents a slow, steady rhythm that never fails to relax us, a place we love to kick back, chill and enjoy.
