Well…since I’m kinda random anyhow…here’s 8 random things about me you probably don’t care to know…;>}:
1. I have lived in Sterling for the 18 years, but I am a true Southerner, born and bred in Tennessee.
2. My husband, daughter, sister, mom, dad and aunt all live with us — my Aunt is homebound — my mom and aunt keep us all on our toes.
3. My husband and I love to camp.
4. I have a captain’s license from my old sailing days.
5. I graduated 3rd in my class and got to give the class ‘prophecy’ as to where we would all be in 20 years.
6. In school, I was voted Most Talented in my senior year.
7. I hate scarey movies.
8. My husband and I were high school sweethearts.

We didn’t know what to expect when we did Tom and Bridget’s engagment. See, we hadn’t met them — they hired us after perusing our website, which we thought was kinda neat. We were happy to find a couple comfortable with each other, down to earth — and in love in a strong but soft way. The sky was sooooo blue, and this couple made the day bright with their love.

Photography Websites | Ashburn VA| Portrait Studios | The hands I love…
Photography websites will direct you to portrait studios near Ashburn.
They don’t look like much to the average person…there are some callouses, a few scars…and they are never manicured.
I’ve seen them do so much — I’ve watched these hands build our house, plant grass, flowers and trees; lift,cook, paint and polish, fix the car, type a letter and steady a razor. They can mow a lawn, wash a dish, clean a toilet, tie a tie — all with the same ease. They have clapped and stroked; patted, petted, hugged and spanked…and I’ve watched those strong hands gently lift my aunt from the floor when she falls.
Those hands shook when they cut the cord when Joriana was born…but they were strong and steady when they put on her first diaper. These hands have been kind and strong. They have comforted me, forgiven me, steadied me, picked me up and brushed me off. Sometimes those hands speak more than words could.
They have loved me…for 27 years as of August 30th. I love those hands…and I’m grateful for this man who means so much to me…
So we will be going away to celebrate for a bit…this man with the hands I love…

Two of our good friends, Kesha and Troy, tied the knot — and we couldn’t be happier! Our favorite part of the day was when Troy saw what Kesha had inscribed on his wedding ring…”My friend, My love 07-06-07″ — we think the look on his face says it all! That’s one of the things we love about designing albums…telling the story of the day. Okay, their ceremony was a little less than conventional with no bridesmaids or groomsmen…and the formals were a liiiitttttlllle late….that’s why we have mucho shots of Troy…being himself…;>} But the bride arrived, the vows were spoken, the cake was smeared and all could see the bond that is shared between these two…we think it’s true love.

So we had an awesome time this week with Shawn and Angela — what a kewl couple. We were trying to put our finger on exactly what we liked about them so much — we decided what it is. They fit. They fit together — comfortable with each other, at ease and they are sooooo very obviously in love. And SO MUCH fun — we love how they just had fun together. We are having a great year with all these gorgeous couples. I was telling my husband, David, about how much fun their engagement session was and what a cute couple they are. He said you think ALL of your couples are beautiful! And he’s right — we do. We just love to be with people in love — does it show?
