The Peacock kids had an awesome time blowing soap bubbles in our 2.5 acre outdoor studio in Sterling, VA. With a gentle breeze and leaves falling to the ground, Isis and Scarlet sat on the bridge near the pond creating huge balloons of soap as Little Sam watched with glee!

Ever get frustrated that your subjects are too dark in your pictures? You’re not alone. Many people complain about this when using either a camera phone or point-and-click camera. One common cause of this is from shooting into a bright background.
A bright background can be a bright sky, window or any bright light. If there is more light behind the subject than on the subject, the subject will look dark. Fortunately, this is an easy fix! Simply, move the subject so that there isn’t so much light behind it. Try moving the subject in front of a wall or shoot from the top, looking down, so the background is the ground and not the bright sky. This creates even, ideal lighting in your image, ridding you of the improper lighting proportions.

Autumn is such a beautiful time of year to have a family outdoor portrait with the colorful tress and the crisp bite in the air. Documenting your family tree with portrait images as your children grow is a way to create wonderful memories.
The Gore family came to visit our outdoor studio at the beginning of November. Aaditi and Sameer brought their adorable 2 1/2 year old daughter. Arya is an active little girl who enjoys playing outside on the playground, reading and taking dance classes. The family loves to travel as they go on vacations to such exciting places as Chicago and Hawaii.
