We are a photographer studio in NOVA that does family pictures.
Ever After Portraits is a mother-daughter team who specialize in wedding photography — we are wedding photojournalist, who capture moments that tell the love story of our brides and grooms. We also do engagement photography, destination wedding photography, day after, trash the dress, family portraits, and lifestyle portrait sessions.
We had LOADS of fun with Chris and April at the beach!! Chris is hands down one of the wittiest, and just generally funny grooms we’ve met this year — he had April — and us — laughing through the whole session. This sure doesn’t feel like work when you have a pair like these two!
One the hardest parts of this job is — believe it or not — picking songs that showcase the couple. Everyone’s tastes are different — and we will admit, our tastes in music are slightly eclectic…;>}
But riding home in the car, Joriana and I knew right away the song that would represent the FUN this couple is going to have in life –Make her laugh just like Jim Carey….

Iaian and Georganne brought us out to Tucson for their gorgeous wedding at La Mariposa — their wedding was so beautiful!
Best of all, they have chosen to preserve those precious memories with one of our heirloom albums. Being the super cool couple that they are — and even with Georganne’s graphic design background — they took advantage of our expertise and gave us free reign to custom design their album. You guys are the best!!
We love how it turned out and hope they do, too!

Have you heard of the “Trash the Dress” concept?? Whether you are a recent bride or have been married for several years, no doubt you said your “I do‘s” once for all time. “Trash the Dress” is a wonderful way to reaffirm your commitment to your husband … and let him know you’ll never need that wedding dress again!
Storing it in your closet or a hope chest to hand down to your daughter …that’s a wonderfully beautiful idea. But how many daughters do you know that get married in their mother’s dress?? Or if you’re getting married for the second time, I’ll bet it’s not in the same dress!!
So why not trash it?? You supply the dress, and we’ll do the rest. You will have a contemporary and unique portrait session!
We had lots of fun with Mandy with her “Trash the Dress” session . . . and we’re certain that her husband James will LOVE this slideshow . . .

Jermaine and Niesha’s wedding was just awesome!
Things we really loved about it: Everything was details, details, details. This wedding was super organized — and it showed. The ceremony not only ran right on time, but everyone was dressed to the nines — tails and canes, no less! Keeping the ceremony and reception in one location in Potomac Falls, Virginia always means less stress for this bride and groom.
Watching Jermaine’s face as he said his vows — and seeing the look on Neisha’s face as her groom spoke those words — well, it is just one of the best parts of our job.
Jermaine and Niesha value the visual record of their once in a lifetime event — they prepaid for their album when they retained us. With busy lives and a new marriage, they took advantage of the service we include — designing a beautiful album that tells the story of their day. Now, their finished album will be in their hands only weeks after their wedding! Pretty smart, we say. They took to heart our words that we don’t want you to just remember you HAD a wedding day. We want you to feel those moments again and again as you look through your album.

Each photographer family photo in Chantilly has a family photographer that they use.

Well, they did it — Troy and Kesha said their I do’s!
This smart bride and groom wanted to go directly to the reception after, so they arranged to have the majority of their images taken before the wedding. A slight delay in his bride’s arrival to the portrait site did nothing to dampen this groom’s spirits. You can see that he wasn’t anxious — he spent the time waiting kicking up his heels just thinking about the days to come with his boo!
Congratulations, Troy and Kesha — may your life always be joyous!

Our photographer family consists of two professional photographers who are located near Centreville, VA.

David and Tara pretty much made our day. They were on time, relaxed and sooooooo much fun to work with. After about five minutes, we felt like these two were old friends!
Willowcroft Winery is one of the best kept secrets in Leesburg — in Loudoun, or even in Virginia! Perched up on a ridge, the views were breathtaking — and it proved to be the perfect backdrop for what shaped up to be one of the most awesome engagement sessions we’ve had the pleasure of doing this year.
Easing down the dirt road to Willowcroft Winery with the windows down and the breeze blowing through our hair made us realize how much we looooooove what we do. And we felt pretty special going to a place that has so much meaning for these two.
David proposed to Tara here — so what better place to get them in front of our camera. Cara and Skye rounded out the session, posing just about picture perfect for us!
The scenery wasn’t the only thing that was beautiful. Aren’t these two just the most gorgeous couple you’ve seen? With Tara’s model looks, and David’s baby blues, we seriously can’t wait to photograph these two tying the knot.

Portrait Photography Studio | Burke VA| Photo | We have a winner…5th place in the Emotion Category at WPJA!!
Each photo taken in our portrait photography studio near Burke strives to make each client happy!
I am excited to blog that one of the images from David and Danielle’s wedding took 5th place in the WPJA contest!!!! And what is even kewler is that they are using my image as the thumbnail for the category!!
WPJA is the Wedding Photojournalist Association and in their words is an “organization composed of photojournalists and wedding photographers from around the world. What sets our members part in the industry is their candid, documentary approach – a distinctly artistic vision toward wedding photography.” In Virginia, I’m one of only 45 photographers in WPJA.
I’m honored to be a member, honored to have an image place in the Emotion category, but I feel even more honored that David and Danielle chose Ever After Images to document the emotions of their wedding day.

Michael and Jennifer had one of the sweetest weddings we’ve seen. Keeping the ceremony and reception in one location in Fairfax, Virginia was stress free for this bride and groom. The joy on Jennifer’s face as she got ready to walk down the aisle was sooooo apparent. And we loved the tear in Michael’s eye when he saw her — this couple are obviously very much in love!
We really appreciate how they treated us, even reserving a seat for us inside with their guests and making sure we had water and were fed — considering it was 100 degrees outside, this was much appeciated!
Michael and Jennifer showed us that they really value the visual record of one of the most important days of their life. This couple is very wise, we think, to let us tell the story of their day in an album — they took to heart our words that we don’t want you to just remember you HAD a wedding day. We want you to feel those moments again and again as you look through your album.

Josh is quite the joker — he had us and Christen laughing all day!
Christen has just about the most beautiful blue eyes we have seen — we think she is going to be one beautiful bride — and getting her behind the camera just makes us look forward to photographing their wedding.
These two are totally in love! When we first met them, we thought they were a bit on the quiet side, but we had a blast with them…pretty soon it felt like they forgot we were there and the sparks flew!

13 hours of wedding photography on Kate and Gabe’s wedding day flew by and so did the weeks that it took to predesign this album. We hope that Kate and Gabe love this album even half as much as we enjoyed capturing their day and designing their album so that they can hold the memories forever.
